    The Acton Institute will hold a day-long conference entitled Whole Life Discipleship: Integrating Faith, Economics, & Work on Wednesday, October 5, 2011. The purpose of this conference is to teach and discuss the important connection between economic principles, religion, and everyday life in light of Biblical principles. As part of this conference, Dr. Hunter Baker will present the 11 th Annual Calihan Lecture and receive the 2011 Novak Award.

Claar, associate professor of economics at Henderson State University and co-author of Economics in Christian Perspective, however, raises significant economic and moral questions about both the logic and economic reasoning underlying the fair trade movement.
