“The haunting beauty of stone angels has captivated me in many parts of the world for over thirty years.  It is a reminder of our need to leave behind marks of our evanescent journey, of our place, in an effort to orchestrate even the unknown.  This phenomenon, this need for perpetual order, often appears in direct conflict with natural order.  My interest lies not in this conflict, but in the poetry of this observation.”—Margaret Vega
