Doug is an External Relations Officer at the Acton Institute. 

Prior to his role at the Acton Institute, Doug served as a construction industry executive for over 30 years, the last 11 as a Vice President at one of the largest construction management firms in the Midwest. 

Doug was involved with the Acton Institute for many years prior to retiring from the construction industry to join the organization.  During that time, Doug developed a deep appreciation for Acton’s mission to promote a free and virtuous society and their work at the intersection of the free market and religious faith.

Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University and a Masters in Business Administration from William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business.

He and his wife Susan are the parents of two daughters and one son.
