Charissa L. Reul, CMP currently consults for Acton on international conferences. She worked full-time for Acton from 2006-2020 in various roles, most recently serving as the Research & International Conference Manager. 

Charissa has a passion for culture, liberty, poverty alleviation, operational management, and hospitality. She combined these passions in 2006 to join Acton's team and has worked in the Programs & Education and Research departments on many projects over the years including international conferences and events, Liberty Fund co-sponsor conferences, academic grants & awards, PovertyCure, Catholic leadership projects, as well as editing and research projects. She also works closely with Acton's office in Rome and affiliate in Argentina. In 2017, Charissa became a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), a designation she worked many years to achieve.

Previously, Charissa worked in the luxury resort industry in Naples, Florida focusing on sales, marketing, and public relations. She graduated with her B.A. in philosophy from Ave Maria University, where she participated in two exchange programs to Austria and Nicaragua. Charissa claims Grand Rapids, MI as her home, where she lives with her husband, Chad, two step-sons, and dog. In her free time, she loves to cook, read, travel, and is learning to sail.
