Caleb Whitmer is associate director for the Acton Institute's Center for Social Flourishing, which studies and promotes creative civil society to address problems of social and material poverty in the United States. He is also co-producer and writer for the forthcoming documentary film "Poverty Trap: How Big Plans to End Poverty Broke the Promise of America." Caleb is an experienced nonprofit program manager, media producer, writer, and editor. Prior to joining Acton, he was the manager of student programs for the Thomistic Institute, an academic apostolate of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans). He has worked previously as a newspaper reporter and classical Catholic school teacher. He holds a bachelor's degree from Hillsdale College. Caleb and his wife, Morgan, live in Ada, Michigan with their four children.
