Solutions to Poverty: When Your Voice Isn't Enough

“Use your voice,” some say. “Convince our government leaders that they must end poverty, injustice, and hunger. If we all stand up as one and demand action from our leaders, action will come.”

But how effective is the government in helping the needy? The government spends billions on these problems, but it cannot know the individuals it seeks to help—can’t know their names, their specific struggles—it cannot love them in the true sense. How can government hope to solve a person’s deepest problems?

So what now? If governments and lobbies can’t offer the solutions, who can?

You can.
