Christ and Business Culture: Another Classification of Christians in Workplaces According to an Empirical Study in Hong Kong

We propose a new classification of Christians based on their levels of internal struggle and subsequent behaviors upon dealing with ethical issues in the workplace: Christian soldiers, panic followers, strugglers, and Sunday Christians. Then, we develop a model of potential, evolutionary processes that these Christian types may follow using game-theory analysis. We argue that Sunday Christians and Christian soldiers are the only two possible Christian equilibriums in repeated game settings. Finally, we use an empirical data set, which was conducted in Hong Kong, to illustrate our classifications and suggest potential strategies to efficiently allocate resources within Christian churches.
