Unsolicited articles and book reviews cannot be returned and will be acknowledged only if accompanied by a functioning e-mail address. There is no submission fee or monetary remuneration for accepted submissions unless otherwise noted. Submissions should not be under consideration for publication with other journals.

Every author and reviewer will receive a complimentary one-year electronic subscription to the Journal of Markets & Morality and offprints according to the following schedule:

Manuscript Requirements

The manuscript should be submitted in double line spacing with a standard one inch margins around the perimeter of the document. The author’s credentials (i.e., autobiographical data) must be printed on a separate sheet and the author should not be identified anywhere else in the article. There is no need to submit print copies of the manuscript.

Articles should be between 3000 and 6000 words in length and include a title of not more than 12 words. Authors must supply an abstract of 100-150 words. Book reviews should be 750-1000 words and will not be accepted if fewer than 500 or more than 1500 words. All reviews must supply the following information: author, title, publisher, year of publication, number of pages, and price. A brief autobiographical note should accompany any submission and include full name, title, affiliation, mailing address, e-mail address, and full international contact information. Headings must be short, clearly defined, and unnumbered. Endnotes should be used and must be in accord with Chicago Manual of Style standards. Once accepted for publication, the final version of the manuscript must be sent as an e-mail attachment saved in a standard electronic format (such as doc, docx, or rtf). Figures that are provided electronically must be in tif, gif, or pic file extensions. All figures and graphics must also be supplied as high quality originals.

If accepted for publication, the author grants the publisher the right of a third party or third parties to reproduce, incorporate, and distribute the work into one or more databases, and to deliver or transmit the content of the work, in whole or in part, for display, storage, copying and printing by authorized users of the databases or products. Distribution may include sale of individual articles on behalf of the Journal of Markets & Morality through various sub-contracting vendors. Such databases and products may be distributed by a third party/third parties or its/their distributors. The author will receive no compensation for reproduction and distribution. The third party or parties have contracted with the publisher to reproduce, incorporate, and distribute all Journal of Markets & Morality articles.

Author's Compensation

Article authors agree to grant the publisher the right to use this work without compensation other than a complimentary one year subscription to the journal as well as digital off-prints of their articles. Reviewers will only receive digital off-prints of their contributions.
