Michael Miller, Director of Programs at the Acton Institute, makes an appearance on Jacksonville's progressive talk radio station, AM 1460 WZNZ, to discuss the issue of Global Warming and how Republican presidential candidate John McCain plans to address it.

Miller looks at whether or not McCain's "Cap and Trade" proposal is actually a market and whether or not it will actually work. In an interesting twist, the discussion also moves into an examination of whether or not modern environmentalism is pantheistic, and a discussion of the dangers of a moral system based on pantheism.

Rev. Sirico looks at a resurgent movement in religious circles to advance big government programs behind a so-called “social justice” agenda. The Religious Left has aligned with Big Labor, pacifist groups and liberal politicians to promote collectivist alternatives to the free market. Can anyone stop them?

A Conference looking at international development assistance 40 years after the papal Encyclical Populorum Progressio is taking place this evening at Rome's Pontifical Regina Apostolorum University. Under the sponsorship of the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty, the participants are asking whether International Development has failed the poor, in light of the Encyclical's teaching. Michael Miller is Director of Programs at the Acton Institute in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and one of the participants in the event.
