The Acton Institute is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2009 Acton University (AU), which will take place on June 16-19 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This year’s expanded curriculum and distinguished international faculty will once again lead an in-depth four-day exploration of the intellectual foundations of a free society.

Dr. Richards explores the biblical foundations for our stewardship over the environment and its importance in the debate on Global Warming. He also discusses the mainstream views on Global Warming and answers four of the main questions concerning global climate change:

• Is the earth warming?
• Are we causing it?
• If the earth is warming and we are causing it, is that bad?
• Would the advised policies make any difference?

Acton's Director of Programs Michael Miller joins guest host Mark Elliott on the Maria Sanchez Show on KVTA radio in Ventura, California to discuss news reports about the Vatican's supposed extension of the list of mortal sins. Miller explained that the Vatican was not, in fact, adding to the list of mortal sins, but rather speaking about some new forms of social sin and their consequences, which can be exacerbated in an increasingly interconnected world.
