On May 12, 2010 Istituto Acton, in collaboration with the Faculty of Canon Law of the Pontifical University Antonianum, organized a study day for pontifical university professors, priests, student and opinion leaders in Rome on the theme "The Contribution of Christianity to Representative Government". The expert panel of speakers, which included Vatican curial officials, political scientists, and legal scholars, discussed and debated how representative government has a special congruity with the Christian vision of the human being and of human society.
